MFA Member Sandy Cohen
Sandy is featured in a solo exhibition in Martino Gallery at Maryland Hall from May 11-July 11. The show is titled “BECOMING: Artistry in the Making.”
MFA Member Pat Zannie
Pat’s collage “A Fauvist Landscape” won 1st place in Mixed Media at the Rockville Art League and is on exhibition through May. She will be joining 5 other artists in the exhibition of their work “The Merry Month” at Gallery B in Bethesda, Maryland until May 23.
MFA Member Desiree Scherini
Desiree has been included in Gary Pendleton’s book “100 Plein Air Painters of the Mid-Atlantic” and the exhibition is at Bishops’ Stock Gallery. She also has three pieces showing at Kent Island Federation of Art’s member show and received the first place award for her pastel painting “Cloud Gazing with Maxfield”. Three more pieces are exhibiting alongside the Maryland Society of Portrait Painters at Quiet Waters Gallery.

Vince Lupo is exhibiting a series of photographs in an exhibit titled “Invisible Threads” at The Delaplaine Visual Arts Education Center, 40 South Carroll St, Frederick MD. The exhibit runs May 2 – June 28. More information available: www.delaplaine.org
MFA Member April Rimpo: April M Rimpo’s painting “Fresh Fruit to Go” was accepted into Illinois Watercolor Society’s 31st National Exhibition. This is April’s third time with a painting in this exhibit, so she has now been granted Signature Membership in IWS. April is also delighted to announce a solo exhibition at The Bernice Kish Gallery at Slayton House to be held May 14 – June 9, 2015, with the opening reception on May 16 from 2 – 4PM. Slayton House is located at 10400 Cross Fox Lane in Columbia, Maryland 21044.
MFA Member Alex Tolstoy April 29-May 31 Alex’s show “Waterwork” will exhibit at the Foundry Gallery.
MFA Member Elaine Weiner-Reed Elaine’s “Primal Scream” is included in the International Members Exhibition 2015 at the Southern Nevada Museum of Fine Arts. The show runs from April 11-July 3 2015.
MFA Member Michael Hower Michael has an upcoming exhibit, “Remnants”, at The Grand Opera House in Delaware opening April 29. More info below.
MFA Member Richard Weiblinger
Richard has been juried into the Pyramid Atlantic Art Center’s Invitational Art Exhibition “Transformations”. The show runs until May 31.
Richard has also been juried into the McLean Project for the Arts Invitational Exhibition. The show runs June 18 – August 1, 2015. Reception June 30, 7-9pm.

Gallery 333
Gallery 333 has openings for 2 month shows Nov/Dec 2015 and most slots of 2016. They are seeking 30-40 2d works, any media, wired for walker hanging system. Also seeking 3D work of all types. The glass case is counter height, lit, and 5 ft wide with adjustable shelves.
Slab Workshop

Saturday, May 23, 2015: Art Law Clinic, Newborn Holistic Ministries/Jubilee Arts (1928 Pennsylvania Ave., Baltimore, MD 21217), 1-4pm. Artists (of all mediums) may receive a FREE 30-minute consultation with an attorney to discuss their short-form legal issue. Their volunteer attorneys will be able to help you start addressing the legal issue related to your work as an artist. To schedule your 30-minute appointment, please email info@mdvla.org.

“Colors of Summer”
- Works in all media are welcome; summer-themed works or works in bright summer colors will be considered, and the selection will be made in person, once all work has been dropped off.
- Bring up to five pieces of work that you feel will fit the theme into the gallery May 18 to 20.
- We will select works to create a unified exhibit will notify artists by the 24th of the final decisions. Other Details: The Opening Reception will be Thursday, June 4, 5 to 8 pm. Participating artists are invited to paint live during the reception. Specifics to follow.
