 Lesley Giles has three large oil paintings juried into “The Biggs Picture” at Biggs Museum of American Art 406 Federal St. Dover De. Her painting “World War Two Tower on the Atlantic” was honored as “signature” painting for the show. The jurors were Sharon Ewing, Director of the Gross McCleaf Gallery of Contemporary Realist Painting in Philadelphia & Mary Tobias Putman, Delaware painter and recipient of the Hassam, Speicher, Betts and Symons Purchase Fund Award of the American Academy of Arts and Letters. Seventy paintings were chosen from over five hundred submissions. The exhibition runs until 20 July www.biggsmuseum.org

The Artists’ Gallery of Columbia invites visual artists to submit original work for a juried show in their Gallery’s Featured Artist space. Artists age 18 or older living in Maryland or the District of Columbia who are able to hand-deliver their work are eligible to apply.
