MFA Member April Rimpo
April M Rimpo’s painting “Fresh Fruit to Go” was accepted into Illinois Watercolor Society’s 31st National Exhibition. This is April’s third time with a painting in this exhibit, so she has now been granted Signature Membership in IWS. April is also delighted to announce a solo exhibition at The Bernice Kish Gallery at Slayton House to be held May 14 – June 9, 2015. Slayton House is located at 10400 Cross Fox Lane in Columbia, Maryland 21044.
MFA Member Elaine Weiner-Reed
Elaine’s “Primal Scream” is included in the International Members Exhibition 2015 at the Southern Nevada Museum of Fine Arts. The show runs from April 11-July 3 2015.
MFA Member Richard Weiblinger
Richard has been juried into the McLean Project for the Arts Invitational Exhibition. The show runs June 18 – August 1, 2015 with a reception on June 30, 7-9pm.

Jordan Faye Contemporary’s Thrive Program and Exhibition is seeking artists for the Spring into Summer session (June 5-7) and Late Summer session (July 24-26). The program is geared towards artists who are developing their professional careers and participants are considered Thrive Alumni, which makes them eligible for ongoing opportunities (potential solo shows, artists residencies, etc). Gallery 333 has openings for 2 month shows Nov/Dec 2015 and most slots of 2016. They are seeking 30-40 2d works, any media, wired for walker hanging system. Slab Workshop

Call for Entries: Cade Gallery
All media is being accepted for the Heliotrope Bouquet 17, a show at AACC. There is no entry fee, no jurying, and no framing necessary. All pieces brought from June 1-2 (9:00 AM to 4:00 PM) will be featured in the gallery. June 8th through July 10th. Limit 2 pieces per artist.

Portrait Sculpture- New Dates
Rick Casali has moved his workshop and is now holding classes every Monday at Maryland Hall from June 8th to July 27th (6:30 PM to 9:00 PM). Lectures will be given on the geometric planes of the face, structure of the skull, and the anatomy of eyes, nose, mouth, and ears. For more information check out his website here.
