MFA Member Opportunity: Colors of Nature

MFA Member: Ruth Connell
Connell’s talk, “The Art of the Studio: How to Design Your Art Studio”, will be held on October 22 at AIA Maryland, 86 Maryland Avenue. The talk begins at 6:00 and doors open at 5:30 pm.
MFA Member: Desiree Scherini
Scherini will be instructing a class at Maryland Hall starting on October 1st titled “In the Studio: Landscape Painting in Pastel”. It will be held on Wednesdays from 1:00-3:00 and ends October 29th. Costs $145 for members and $170 for non-members. There will be a one-day Plein Air workshop (centered around fall colors in pastel) on October 18th from 10:00-4:00 that costs $75 for members and $100 for non-members. Must be at least 16 years old to participate in both.

Schein will be holding a show titled “Connections in Light and Shadow” at The Galleries at Quiet Waters from October 22 – November 23. The opening reception will be held from 2 to 4 p.m., Oct. 26.

MFA Member: Stan Wenocur
Wenocur’s work has been juried into the contemporary fine art show “Emergence 2014: International Artists to Watch” which will be showing at the Galerie Myrtis in Baltimore, from September 14 to November 15. The Artists’ Talk will be held from 2 to 4 p.m., Oct. 19.
MFA Member: Richard Weiblinger
Weiblinger has work that was juried into the “Sidetracked” exhibition at the Meeting House Gallery which is currently running and ends October 18. He has also been juried into the regional 2014 Hill Center Galleries exhibition which is currently running and ends on September 28. Hill Center Galleries is located at 921 Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington D.C.
