MFA Members @ Alternate Locations: Pierre Parker solo exhibition of Photography  “Phenomenal Annapolis” currently on display at 14 State Circle (former Marian Warren Gallery) Gallery will be open Thursday – Monday, 11am- 5pm. Closing Reception: Friday, May 30, 5:30 – 7:00pm.

Janna Zuber is featured in an article posted in the Gazette.net. The Article highlights her Mitchellville home studio. Janna Zuber has 15 works on display at the Bowie Center for the Performing Arts her work will be on display through June. Mary Ellen Geissenhainer will be showing ten works in the  upcoming show at Quiet Waters Park, 600 Quiet Waters Park Rd, Annapolis, MD.  The exhibit is titled “The Metropolitan Washington Chapter of the Colored Pencil Society of America” in the Willow Gallery, juried by Lisa Semerad.  The Garden Gallery will exhibit “Spotlight on Four Colored Pencil Artists”.  Exhibit dates are Mary 21 –July 6, 2014, with a reception Sunday, June 1, 2014 from 2-4.   CPSA District Chapter 109 was formed in 1994 by colored pencil artists living and working in the Washington DC. metro area – which includes Virginia and Maryland – to promote the goals of the CPSA on a local and regional basis. We are a group of 50 working artists in diverse styles and methods ranging from abstract to photorealism, floral, still life, portraits, landscapes, and non-objective. “That’s Colored Pencil?!!” is often the response most exhibit visitors have to our work. 
 Lesley Giles has three large oil paintings juried into “The Biggs Picture” at Biggs Museum of American Art 406 Federal St. Dover De. Her painting “World War Two Tower on the Atlantic” was honored as “signature” painting for the show. The jurors were Sharon Ewing, Director of the Gross McCleaf Gallery of Contemporary Realist Painting in Philadelphia & Mary Tobias Putman, Delaware painter and recipient of the Hassam, Speicher, Betts and Symons Purchase Fund Award of the American Academy of Arts and Letters. Seventy paintings were chosen from over five hundred submissions. The exhibition runs until 20 July www.biggsmuseum.org
Lesley Giles Featured Artist exhibit “Reflect – The Eastern Shore” has been extended through 30 June at Cottage Studio & Gallery 19 Goldsborough St Easton Md. The second gallery reception is Friday, June 6, 5:00pm-8:00pm during Easton First Friday Art Walk. www.cottagestudioandgallery.com
