$10 Can Make You a Patron of the Arts

You might not think $10 can make a difference. But last year, when supporters decided to GIVE $10 to MFA through Anne Arundel’s Great Give we won an extra $10,000 in prize money. And almost everyone can agree that $10,000 makes a big difference, especially for a small nonprofit like MFA.

Because people supported MFA through the Great Give last year, we were able to do more of what we do best: bring art to our community and support community artists. It allowed our small, volunteer-based nonprofit to expand beyond the Circle Gallery in Annapolis, like we did in February’s Gallery B exhibition in Bethesda. It helped us to provide exhibition opportunities for artists of all mediums, such as the fiber arts show. It gave MFA confidence to further engage with our community by taking over the popular plein air event Paint Annapolis.

The $10,000 allowed MFA to take risks and expand in ways that better supported our members and better served our community. Each donation of $10 not only made a difference but also was an endorsement of what MFA does best – bring to the community current work by living artists.

That’s why we are asking everyone to GIVE $10 through The Great Give – a 24-hour fund-a-thon where the small nonprofit with the most individual donors can win extra prize money. Donations only count if they are received between 6pm May 7 and 6pm May 8 (EST). With your help, we will win again this year!
