Now Open for Entry

Deadline to Enter is June 19, 2024

Please click the button above to enter this show on ArtCall.org. You will need to create a free account to enter your work.

We are using a new entry platform, that uses different terminology than you might be used to seeing. In ArtCall:

  • You will be asked to pay for the number of artworks you’ll be uploading in advance. You can add more later.

  • The word “application” means artwork, so one application is one work of art.

  • “Attachments” means images of the artwork, you can upload up to 2 images. You do not need to pay extra for attachments.

For first time users, we recommend the following resources:

  • The video tutorial linked on the call for entry page.
  • Our blog post that walks you through the entry process step-by-step.
  • Our FAQ section.

Introducing Imprint

Printmaking is an art form that embraces strong technical skills and sometimes even chemistry in a way that transforms into something that can be beautifully textural and full of vibrant colors. Its process primarily involves the transfer of images from a matrix (template), onto a surface such as paper or fabric. This process has been documented as far back as 206 B.C., originating in China’s Han Dynasty as woodblock prints on silk, and is assumed to have existed for much longer. In these present times, there are a variety of types of printmaking such as intaglio, monotype, linocut, and so much more. MFA (Maryland Federation of Art) invites all artists to enter an exhibition that welcomes printmaking artwork for Maryland Hall’s Earl Gallery. This exhibition is open to artists residing in the United States, Puerto Rico, Canada, and Mexico. All eligible fine art entries in any media will be considered by the juror. Selected works will be displayed in this MFA organized exhibition at Maryland Hall in Annapolis, MD from August 21 – September 25, 2024.
