There is no admission fee. Circle Gallery is free and open to the public.

Is Circle Gallery kid-friendly?

Is Circle Gallery handicap accessible?

Our gallery is handicap accessible. However, we are located on a busy city street and do not have designated parking.

How often do exhibitions change?

Exhibitions change roughly every month at Circle Gallery. In addition we have alternate locations including Paul’s Homewood Cafe, Hospice of the Chesapeake, and Annapolis Maritime Museum.

Do you accept artwork donation?

We accept artwork donation from our members for our annual art auction fundraiser, Collector’s Choice. However, the organization does not collect art. All of our artwork exhibited is temporary, for this reason we do not accept any other forms of artwork donation.

Questions From Our Artists…

How do we curate our exhibitions?

The majority of our exhibitions are juried exhibitions. Anyone is encouraged to enter. There is a small fee for entry, and members are given a discounted rate. An outside juror will choose which artworks among the entries hang in the gallery. Visit our call for artist page to view upcoming exhibitions.

How do I become a member?

You can join MFA online, or by calling the gallery. Visit our membership page to view prices and to join.

How do I submit artwork to show?

All of our artwork is entered online. You can access the online entry system by navigating to the call for artists page, selecting the desired show, and clicking on “online entry system”.

What is MFA's commission if my work sells?

MFA retains 30% of sales at Circle Gallery. Sales at alternate sites may retain 40% so that MFA and the exhibition site can be compensated. If your artwork sells through a direct referral from MFA within three months of it being exhibited, we ask that artists donate 20% of the sale to MFA.

Should my artwork be framed?

Not necessarily.  If your artwork is framed, it needs to be wired. Mats must be well cut and clean. If your artwork is not framed, it must be able to hang on the wall. If any hanging materials beyond nails or picture hooks are needed you must supply them.

Should my artwork be signed?

We require that prints/editions be signed and numbered, any other artwork is not required to be signed. We do ask that the non-viewing side of all artwork have the following: artist name, address, phone number, email, title, medium, and price.
