Introducing Variety is the Spice of Life
As art often imitates life, so does this diverse show featuring works that are artistically varied in media, subject, and genre. The artwork in “Variety is the Spice of Life” are works by Maryland-based artists who also show nationally and internationally. These artists are all active members and volunteers of Maryland Federation of Art (MFA), an enduring 61-year-old non-profit organization in Annapolis, Maryland, dedicated to creating connections in the community through art. The work in this exhibition is representative of the vast expanse of work and vision of the 600+ MFA members.
MFA provides living artists the opportunity to expand their reach and increase their credibility by offering professional exhibitions juried by acclaimed professionals from around the globe. By connecting them with potential collectors, the organization validates artists as contributing members of the business community. MFA expands the art scene in Annapolis by offering 40 unique art exhibitions annually in Circle Gallery, located in the heart of Annapolis, as well as alternative venues such as restaurants and government buildings and other locations across the state. In 2024, MFA displayed more than 2400 works of art by 1400+ artists, and the community is invited to attend all exhibitions events for free.
Paint Annapolis, MFA’s premier plein air event, brings award winning artists from all over the world to paint in the streets of our beautiful city, and to engage with residents and visitors, enhancing the vibrancy of the community and creating awareness of the value of art in daily life.
