Introducing Oh the Places I Would Go

Oh the places we would go if we weren’t in quarantine. Or maybe, oh the places we will go once the world is safer. MFA’s fifth People’s Choice exhibition is all about the special places that we can’t be right now and places we’re dreaming of. Out on a Mexican beach, roaming the Italian coast, exploring a jungle in Brazil, or just hanging out with friends in a bar – any original artwork that deals with the locations we’ll be back at one day and in all mediums will be eligible for this online all-hang exhibition.

Terms of Entry

All entries must adhere to MFA general guidelines as well as the terms of entry specific to the exhibit as listed below. When entering the exhibition you will be asked to accept the Terms of Entry. Any entry that does not follow Terms of Entry and General Guidelines will be subject to rejection regardless of the Juror’s decision.


  • A maximum of 2 original works created within the past 3 years may be entered.
  • MFA reserves the right to withdraw any artwork that violates MFA’s Board approved Statement on Diversity.


A $70 one-year MFA membership will be presented to the three artists whose pieces receive the most votes at the end of the voting period.

Entries and Submission Fees

  • Entries must be submitted online.
  • Entry fees are $20 for one or two entries. Entry fees are non-refundable.
  • To enter online, you will need an MFA account that includes an email address and a password. There is no charge to create an MFA account.
  • Submit one JPEG image per piece entered, or as allowed. To provide the best image for juror set pixel dimension to around 3000 pixels on the longest side. File size may be no more than 5 MB.
  • Images of accepted works may be used at the sole discretion of MFA for promotional purposes including but not limited to the invitation, catalog, web site or on a subsequent year’s prospectus. Image will include attribution whenever possible.

Exhibition Schedule:

  • Dec. 19 Online entry open for submissions.
  • Jan. 19 Deadline for entries.
  • Jan. 22 Online gallery opens for viewing.
  • Jan. 22 – Feb. 19 Public and artist online voting for People’s Choice Awards.
  • Feb. 26 Last day of exhibition.


All entrants will receive notice by email. The notice to accepted artists will include specific details and could vary from prospectus.
