Introducing The Art of Protest:

From the Sons of Liberty to the suffragettes, from “Hell No, We Won’t Go” to “Black Lives Matter”, protest is an American value consecrated in the First Amendment. Art has expressed protests of the times through signs, paintings, posters, cartoons, sculpture, photography and more. Maryland Federation of Art (MFA) invites all artists to express their opinions through art in all media in an all-hang exhibition on display July 4 through August 4, 2020.

MFA will donate 50% of profits made on this show to the First Amendment Coalition, a non-profit dedicated to protecting and promoting freedom of expression and people’s right to know. For more information on the Coalition, click here to go to their website.

MFA reserves the right to withdraw any artwork that violates MFA’s Board approved Statement on Diversity.
