About the Artist

Glenda,   Odenton, MD

Glenda Keyes is a self-taught artist and muralist. Raised in the Adirondack Mountains of Upper New York State, the natural beauty of the area set the stage for her appreciation of art through nature. She was early influenced by the watercolors of the Adirondacks painted by Winslow Homer. Glenda was an officer and leader in the largest art guild in Columbia, South Carolina before moving recently to Maryland. She located and planned art shows in the area. She was part of a weekly Plein Air group painting locally and trips to surrounding areas, even to Provence, France to follow in Van Gogh’s footsteps. Currently she is an instructor using her large studio for classes. Glenda developed a unique method for teaching students with the emphasis on the painting process. This ensures that her students find joy in painting. Glenda continues to paint in all mediums, on any and all surfaces. You can see her expanse of art on her website, www.glendakeyesartist.com. She can be contacted through her website, email: artsy123@gmail.com, or Facebook: Paint with G.
