​ Growing up in Essex, MD with my father Paul L. Dever, my two sisters, Sherry Russo and Kim Tyson. My mother left us at a young age. The trials of my childhood made for the fuel that drove me into art. I would lose myself in my work. Today it is still a form of meditation for me.

Today I reside in on the Eastern Shore of Md. I spend most of my time in my studio behind my home. I am constantly searching my mind to come up with images that interest me. No one else. I am not interested in what is "popular or in" at the time. I paint for me and only me. The bonus is when another human being is connected to my work. I paint of images ranging from current affairs to things that take me back to my childhood. When another human being connects their life with one of my pieces there is no better compliment. This is the magic of art. The bridge between souls.
