“When I do artwork”, says artist Deirdre Tanton, “I like to make positive images that lift up the spirit — especially through the use of color. I feel the best when I am making something with the intention to evoke a sense of joy.”

Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, Deirdre earned her bachelor’s degree in graphic design at the Rhode Island School of Design. Throughout her professional life she has worked as a graphic designer, illustrator, fine artist and textile designer in Boston, Germany, Turkey and now, Annapolis.
