About the Artist

Nancy Evans,   Annapolis, MD

Nancy enjoys painting in several mediums and is currently using acrylics. She says, "There is a special feeling of contentment and joy while being challenged to create a piece of art." She finds varying subjects of interest to paint. Her style moves from impressionistic realism to abstract. She has studied with numerous artists and has taken many workshops. A few were: pastels with Sally Strand, Albert Handel, and Bill Hosner. Others include Gwen Fox, Robert Burridge, Terry Masters, Ted Goerschner, Greg Hull, and Marcia Burtt. She has lived and painted in numerous places in the USA including New York City, Pacific Palisades, Santa Barbara, and La Quinta in California, Sedona AZ, and now in Annapolis MD. She has traveled to many places on our wondrous planet. She grew up on the East Coast and studied at Columbia University before attending UCLA where she graduated with a BA in Anthropology. Her business career was in human resources administration.
