Michael Diliberto is a native New Yorker, an artist and designer who has been creating for the past 45 years. He attended Pratt Institute in Brooklyn,NY, Minneapolis College of Art & Design and is a graduate of the Maryland Institute College of Art with a BFA in graphic design and painting. Michael pursued a creative career in advertising art/creative direction creating ideas and imagery for some or the largest corporations in the world. However, Michael never stopped painting. Michael's abstractions have traces of remembered landscapes and fluid design that grabs attention. With his art and business background, in 2004, Michael opened Diliberto Gallery in Fells Point and maintained this gallery for 10 years. "My painting process is one of controlled randomness where images appear and then melt away depending on your viewing position. The goal is to give the viewer a sense of delight through a textural quality with random, hidden imagery. While the natural world plays a profound role in my work, I maintain an equal balance between simple ideas and complex abstraction." Michael lives and maintains a studio in the beautiful countryside north of Baltimore, Maryland with his wife Jennifer.
