I have Progressive Multiple Sclerosis that causes me severe physical and cognitive symptoms. Some of my symptoms are chronic pain, tremors, inability to walk, frequent falls, and not being able to remember common words. Each mixed media piece takes a significant time to complete because I have to take frequent breaks. As a woman of Native American descent, I tend to reference nature and the spirit world. I work in mixed media with a primary focus on ink.
