Interested in presenting your work to the Annapolis community? In conjunction with MFA, the Annapolis Arts & Wine Festival is inviting ten artists to join them at the 2017 festival (June 10 & 11) and receive a free booth as well as dedicated studio space for one day of the festival. Ten artists will be selected through a juried process.

The Annapolis Art & Wine Festival invites all 2-D and 3-D artists who live in Maryland to apply as a featured artists during the festival. Applications are open to any artist working in any and all forms (including but not limited to) of painting, drawing, sculpting, woodturning, pottery, printmaking, photography, assemblage, collage, mosaic.

Artists must meet the following criteria:

    • Artists must be 18 years of age.
    • Artists must live in Maryland.
    • Artists must be able to create their work live in front of a crowd during the festival.

If selected, artists will be assigned one day to come and appear at the festival. Artists must be able to produce work at the festival. There will be electrical outlets for those who need to power tools and/or light. Additional work created by the artist may be available for sale. The artist is responsible for completing all sales and paying appropriate Maryland sales tax. All art is exhibited at the artist’s risk. If insurance is desired, it must be carried by the artist.


First Lady Yumi Hogan earned her BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art and her MFA from American University. She is an abstract painter, inspired by dynamic elements of the natural world, often working in traditional Sumi ink and Hanji paper. She works as a professor at Maryland Institute College of Art and her role as First Lady has lead her to be a vocal advocate for the arts in Maryland.


  • All entrants will receive notice by email. The notice to accepted artists will include specific details and could vary from prospectus. A list of accepted artists will be posted on the Annapolis Art & Wine Festival website. Entries and Submission Fees

  • Entries must be submitted online.
  • Entry fee is $25. Entry fees are non-refundable.
  • To enter online, you will need an MFA account that includes an email address and a password.
  • There is no charge to create an MFA account
  • Images must be in JPEG files less than 2MB with the recommended longest pixel dimension between 1600 and 2000 pixels (maximum).
