I am currently living in Columbia, Maryland. I was born in Pennsylvania but I grew up in Frederick Maryland. I am married and have two children, four step children and a lot of grandchildren. I work at home. I had a studio in Oella Mills years ago but I preferred working in my home environment. I am a pencil artist. I have worked in other mediums but always come back to pencil. I am so comfortable with the medium. I am inspired by the life around me. I have drawn family and friends, pets, plants from our garden, images I have brought home from trips we have taken. My pieces have stories. I am a fairly recent member of the Maryland Federation of Art. I found out about it because someone linked a post in facebook and I was taken by the charm of the gallery space as well as the variety of opportunities to show our work, including the various show locations like College park and the Annapolis Maritime Museum. I have participated in several shows and they have been a lovely experience.
