I am a watercolorist. I received a BA in Fine Art from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana in 1971 Watercolor was not offered at IU. I took drawing and oil painting. In those days I did not have a clue why I was in college except that it came after high school. Then I got married and forgot I was an artist. My husband and I were in ministry and had four children. Art was rearranging my furniture and making bows for my daughters' hair.
In 2004 I went to David Dewey's* Master Watercolor class in Maine (plein air). I have been painting ever since...landscapes, seascapes, buildings and sometimes people or animals. I paint many abstracts. I believe in wasting paper and paint. My teacher says I am a colorist. I am interested in color because he is a colorist. People seem to like my loose style and use of color. I sell giclees of some of my paintings. Gicles are high quality reproductions on acid free watercolor paper using archival inks.
