April 29-May 31 Alex’s show “Waterwork” will exhibit at the Foundry Gallery. The opening reception will be Friday, May 1 from 6-8 pm.

MFA Member Richard Niewerth

Richard’s recent work will be exhibiting at Annapolis City Hall from April 13-May 15, 2015. The opening reception will be on Monday, April 13 from 5:30-7 pm.

MFA Member Elaine Weiner-Reed

Elaine’s painting “Common Threads I” is included in the MFA’s show “Art on Paper” and her piece “Primal Scream” is included in the International Members Exhibition 2015 at the Southern Nevada Museum of Fine Arts. The show runs from April 11-July 3 2015.

MFA Member Sarna Marcus:

Throughout April there will be a collaborative show at the Foundry Gallery titled “The Painted World” in which artists have paired up with local poets to present the artwork alongside spoken poetry. Sarna is involved in two collaborations:

—Collaboration #1: Sarna’s painting “Moon Splash” (below) + “Moon Huntress” by poet Ann Bracken

—Collaboration #2: Sarna’s painting “Seed Atom II.2 —Rending” + “Seeds in Pod” by poet Mary Beth Hatem

—RECEPTION: Friday evening, April 10th, 6 to 8pm

—First Poetry Reading + Artist/Poet Dialog: Sunday, April 12, 3-5pm

—Second Poetry Reading + Artist/Poet Dialog: Saturday, April 25, 2-4pm

MFA Member Ric Conn

Ric will be teaching a workshop at Maryland Hall titled “Painting Birds in Gouache”. The next workshop is April 17-May 29. There will be an advanced class at the Queen Anne’s County Arts Council. Those dates are April 7 and 14, and May 5 and 12.

MFA Members Patrice Drago and Ruth Connell 

Patrice Drago, _Deadline Medley_, acrylic on canvas for Balanced Distraction at MD HallPatrice and Ruth both have solo exhibitions at Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts.

Patrice’s exhibit, “Balanced Distraction”, will be showing through April 11 at Maryland Hall in the Martino Gallery.

 

 

Ruth’s exhibition, “Inside + Outside”, is currently exhibiting through April 11 at Maryland Hall in the Balcony Gallery. A Gallery Talk will be held on April 8 at 5:30 pm in which thAmong. 2009. Oil on canvas, 48 x 72".e artist and architect will discuss The Art of the Studio.

 

 

 

 

MFA Member Jay Peterzell

The April exhibition at the Foundry Gallery is “The Painted Word: 1 + 1 = 5”. It will be showing April 1-26 with a reception on April 3 from 6-8 pm.

Scherini continues to teach both oil and watercolor painting weekly at the Annapolis Senior Center through the Anne Arundel Community College. Art @ the Park 2015 , the 25th annual Friends of Quiet Waters Park arts festival, will take place at Quiet Waters Park in Annapolis, MD Oct. 17-18, 2015 from 10am-5pm each day. Applications for this juried exhibition are NOW OPEN and CLOSE Saturday April 4, 2015 (late application through 4/11 with $10 late fee.) Mount Gretna Outdoor Art Show is looking for 260 fine artists and craft persons for the Pennsylvania event for the weekend of August 15 and 16th.
