After many years in the design industry I decided to return to my first love of painting. I now live in the suburbs of Maryland with my husband and three redheaded boys. I am a studio painter and my work has been acquired by private and corporate collectors, as far as Europe and New Zealand. I am represented by Maine Cottage in their online art gallery. I have curated several successful art shows at West Annapolis Artworks and I am grateful to have had my debut in New York City this autumn.  I believe I am on a journey of a lifetime, and art is my way of expressing these experiences.

Kellee Wynn Conrad_Printemp Amour-001MY ART:  Whether it’s the excitement of far off places or the simplicity of my own backyard, I find the need to recall all my greatest memories in paint and color and see them come alive on canvas. For me, what begins as a small impression of a moment in time, a memory of a friend, or a hope for the future will eventually find its way into my paintings to convey big emotions. I paint more from feeling and let the colors do the talking. It is hard to let go of what we see when we paint with our eyes instead of our hearts. Using acrylics, I love working in vibrant interpretive colors and hope that the expressive brushstrokes or splashes of paint will convey to the viewer my passion not only as an artist, but also as a dreamer.  Visit my website:  www.kelleewynneconrad.com

MFA & ME:   I first joined MFA in 2012 and found success as an artist right away when I donated to our annual Collector’s Choice. After that great experience, I was fully committed to the activities and exhibits that MFA sponsors. Out of the process of showing my work and getting involved came the most unexpected outcome; I made true and lasting friendships with other artists. I am now happily working for the organization as the off-site coordinator and I have the pleasure of helping other artists find their place in our welcoming community.
