Who Can You Ask to Give $10?

By April 24, 2014 Uncategorized

We are less than two weeks away from Give $10, and hope that you have penciled 6pm May 7 to 6pm May 8 into your calendars. Of course, we want you to give, but your ability to advocate for MFA and leverage your networks is even more valuable during this 24-hour, online fund-a-thon.

What we are asking you to do is easy. We aren’t asking you to sell expensive tickets to a fundraising event or bake cookies for a bake sale. We aren’t asking you to solicit items for a silent auction.

We are just asking you to tell your friends about Give $10 and offer them the chance to participate. If MFA is important to you, it is important to your friends too. Because when communities have organizations and spaces that support artists and bring diverse art exhibitions to the public everyone benefits.

Next week, we will be sharing strategies to make Give $10 a success. For now, we want to start thinking about who you can ask to give. Because Give $10 is a lot like Girl Scout cookies – you don’t have to give a lot you just have to get a lot of people involved.

Your help will make a difference – not just today – but to the legacy of MFA. We’ve been around for over 50 years, and your gift will help ensure that we’re able to keep providing our services.
